God vs. Aliens

by Rolando Jose Olivo

Rolando Jose Olivo, the author, points out that in these modern times, due to greater scientific and technological progress, questionings of religions, UFO sightings, emergence of a plethora of science fiction literature. Interest has arisen in the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life, from other places of the universe, who might have the technology to visit us. In the same way, some scientists, researchers and writers are convinced that the sky gods, mentioned in ancient religious texts, are aliens, and some shared their knowledge with humankind in ancient times. From there arises the debate: Does God exist? Do extraterrestrial beings exist? Or Both? In what can we believe?

With the purpose of providing relevant information on these questions previously mentioned (does God exist? Do extraterrestrial beings exist? Or both? In what can we believe? And also about the great existential mysteries: What is the origin of life and the human being? Is there a struggle between the good and the evil? Why is there so much suffering in this world?

In Chapter 2 the existence of God is investigated and gives evidences in favor of the existence of God. Although the creator can’t be defined and He is incomprehensible and unattainable for the human mind (Job26:14, 36:26 and 37:23), different perspectives are analyzed, including: a) the evidences in favor of the existence of the Lord. The arguments against his existence, a practical solution of the agnostics and other believers, and the religious and philosophical crisis that monotheism generates.

In Chapter 3 and Chapter4 the author follows the big questions. These enigmas don’t have definitive answers and considering the limitations of science certain religious ideas that are close to possible answers can be analyzed. Although Catholics state that no one should not try to understand the great existential mysteries, which are beyond human comprehension, it is relevant to note that the existence of the creator and the dogmas of monotheistic religions provide relevant clues to glimpse these difficult questions.

In Chapter 5, the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial beings attends to the mysterious appearance of Homo sapiens, the ancient paintings of astronauts, spaceships and other symbols, the aliens mentioned in ancient texts, an impressive development in other times, sightings of aliens and UFOs, contacts with aliens, other strange phenomena, the mystery of the Moon, the mysteries of Mars and the Asteroid Belt and some unusual facts. On the one hand, there are evidences about advanced aliens that visit the Earth, which isn’t conclusive, and on the other hand, there are arguments that question and refute the aforementioned evidences. Chapter 6 recapitulates the main ides, developed throughout this publication, which presents the main questions and ends with a final conclusion and recommendation.

In the conclusions and recommendations the author states that the presence of the Almighty Creator of the universe, life and human beings is accepted by some scientists and rejected by others. Although science still hasn’t methods to refute or prove His existence. An implicit debate prevails between those who believe in the existence of God and people that don’t doubt about the presence of extraterrestrial beings (there are radicals who believe in the Lord and deny the existence of aliens, or on the other extreme there are some persons that deny the existence of God and believe in extraterrestrial beings. Although there are evidences in favor of the existence of the Lord and aliens, but there aren’t proofs, and arguments against them also persist. In any case, to answer this last question: in what can we believe in? We must have faith and trust in the religious beliefs, since God goes beyond human comprehension, and the alleged extraterrestrial beings can’t be the creators of this incredible universe. It is an awesome book for those intrigued by aliens.
