In the Gospel of Mathew., we are reminded of God’s love of children People were bringing little children to him, for him to touch them. The disciples scolded them, but when Jesus saw this he was indignant and said to them, 'Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.
Children in need require a special love. Many years ago when I worked with children who were seriously ill, the looks in their eyes leave a permanent imprint on one’s heart and soul. Father John Kumar sees of the mentally retarded and mentally challenged children for whom he cares and I know that their eyes have also made an imprint on his heart and soul.
